Re: Kernel 5.10
Hi,
I’ve been out of the loop for a while and am just now trying to get back into things, so forgive my silly question But since this is the current kernel, it seems to be the best place to post my question without starting an unnecessary thread. What’s the current state of ppc Radeon support? What cards work in an X5000 with full 3D capabilities in linux, if any?
Thanks!

Re: Kernel 5.10
Video playback and hardware 3D acceleration work well with RadeonHD 4xxx, 5xxx, and 6xxx graphics cards. Some new Radeon graphics cards work as well but without hardware 3D acceleration and without a good video playback.

Re: Kernel 5.10 (OT netiquette remark)
Just stumbled upon this, which is an all too common misunderstanding.
A new thread with a well-chosen subject line to ask a new - even if slightly related - question is never unnecessary and should always be preferred over tucking your question into an existing thread.
Three main reasons:
1: It avoids for readers or the original topic to be distracted by the new question.
2: It makes it easier for future readers to find answers to the same question. (Especially on a site like this one where the search tools are not all that good.)
3: It increases the chances of somebody who has the answer seeing your question.
P.S. Not meant as flames for you personally, esc, it's more a matter of your question giving me an opportunity for a general remark.
Best regards,
Niels
