Hi All,

I released the RC5 of kernel 5.10 for the X1000 and X5000 today.

New:

No, it isn’t an internal PCI ethernet adapter installed in my MorphOS compatible X5000 because MorphOS can use the onboard ethernet without any problems.
OK, so it has to be the Linux configuration.
Yes, so It would seem, I did ask some of you to try a slightly different kernel: see here: viewtopic.php?p=51504#p51504

Not had any reports yet..

Hi Darren,

I tried your kernel today but without any success.

Code: Select all

device (eth0): state change: unmanaged -> unavailable (reason 'managed', sys-iface-state: 'managed')
device (eth1): state change: unmanaged -> unavailable (reason 'managed', sys-iface-state: 'managed')
manager: NetworkManager state is now DISCONNECTED
Cheers,
Christian

Sorry... I had already forgotten that when I finally get back to my X5000. But now I tested it, and there was no change... Onboard ethernet still needs the 'unplug-replug' trick to work.

Works ok with MintPPC. Onboard ethernet starts only after unplug-replug...
