Great! Thanks a lot for testing! :-)

You can report it for both kernels. I often report issues on the Linuxppc-dev mailing list directly.

I subscribed now the list and reported the kernel issue there - thanks for the tip.

But onestly, I do not expect much attention from there... The Void issue which I reported in Github some time ago, as you suggested, was already closed, without any comment from anyone!

Hi All,

Here is the stable longterm kernel 5.10.167 for the X1000 and X5000.

It's suitable for old Linux distributions which don't work with the latest kernels for example Ubuntu 10.04. It's also suitable if you have some issues with the latest kernels.

New:
  • X1000 and X5000: Support for PCI-Express SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) host adapters (CONFIG_SCSI_MPT2SAS and CONFIG_SCSI_MPT3SAS)
  • X5000: Sharing host files with the QEMU/KVM HV guest with the virtio-9p-pci device and with the Plan9 file system 9P (CONFIG_NET_9P_VIRTIO, CONFIG_9P_FS, ...)
  • Compiled in a new cross compiling environment (powerpc-linux-gnu-gcc (Debian 9.5.0-1) 9.5.0)
  • Linux git log
Download: linux-image-5.10.167-X1000_X5000.tar.gz

@Roland
Could you please test this kernel? I want to make sure that it works for you.

@All
Of course you can also test it. I know that Roland needs this kernel for his X5000.

Cheers,
Christian
