I've been meaning to ask somebody: Sometimes Ubuntu comes up with phony looking icons in the top and bottom panels (see viewtopic.php?p=49477#p49477), and clicking on them has no effect. I have to use the reboot button on the box or Ctrl^Alt^F3 to get out. Any idea what would cause that?
I got that screen again this morning and I logged on with Ctrl^Alt F3. When I did the following lines came up and this time an odd thing I hadn't noticed before caught my eye.

Code: Select all

Last login: Mon Feb 3 11:54:26 PST 2020 on tty3
Welcome to Ubuntu 16.04.06 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.5.0-rc1_A-EON_X5000 ppc64)

What in the world did I "last login" to way back in early February? This is not the Ubuntu 16.04.6 I log into everyday?
