Hi All,

Here is the alpha5 of kernel 5.4 for testing.

New:
Download: linux-image-5.4-alpha5-X1000_X5000_A1222.tar.gz

Additionally I released the game Hurrican for Debian PowerPCSPE to the public today.

Download: Hurrican_Debian_8_PowerPCSPE.tar.bz2 (It works only with Debian PowerPCSPE on the A1222 Tabor)

Screenshot of Debian 10 PowerPCSPE with the alpha5 of kernel 5.4 and with Hurrican on the A1222:

Please test the kernels.

Thanks,
Christian

Kernel 5.4 RC1 is up and running on my AmigaOne X5000.

It used to automount my SDcard on the Desktop... but this seems to have stopped? Any idea....

Hi Skateman,

Many thanks for testing the RC1! :-)

Have you seen any error messages because of your SD card in the log files?

Can you mount your SD card manually?

I always test the alphas and release candidates with some USB devices but I haven’t noticed any issues with them yet.

Cheers,
Christian

Additionally I successfully tested the X1000 onboard CF card and a USB Floppy drive with the RC1 yesterday.

Kernel 5.4 RC1 is up and running on my AmigaOne X5000, but Fienix only!

Attempts to boot Ubuntu with it end up with an Emergency-something-or-other, suggesting I could carry on with Ctrl^D or my root password or by typing in one of a couple suggested strings, but any typing is ignored.

On the way to that point of no return, it spent about a minute so: "A start job is running for dev-disk-by\x2duuid-91dd8491\x2dac97\x2d44c7..." It quit and the line vanished before I could finish copying. I wonder if this is related to Skateman's problem. My SDcard goes by the alias of 91dd8491-ac97-44c7-9611-dcabfec171a3.

Does it appear with the alpha4? Please try to mount it manually.

Please test the alpha1. I would like to know if Ubuntu boots with the alpha1.
