For Fienix:
Please copy the files from the following package as root to the directory
/usr/lib/powerpc-linux-gnu.
Download:
vlc_addon_dvd.tar.gz

Is that a missing package from the Fienix repository? If so I can add it.

Maybe you could add the package
libdvd-pkg.

I was able to install the package
libdvd-pkg 1.4.2-1-1 (DVD-Video playing library -installer) on Fienix today. After that it automatically compiled the needed libraries for playing DVDs.

Hi All,
Could you please test a video DVD with VLC?
Playing DVD videos work on my X1000 but it doesn’t work on my X5000. libdvdcss is installed on both AmigaOnes.

tested playing DVDs:
1. Worked using SMPlayer in Feinix.
2. Did not work using VLC, VLC briefly shows a picture then crashes.

I tested the new VLC with some DVDs again today. Most of the DVDs are working. It seems it isn't a VLC issue. It's more an issue of the DVD drive.
SMPlayer is slow on my X5000. Which settings do you use for your SMPlayer?
