Hi All,

I released the RC2 of kernel 4.19 for testing today.

New:

• X5000: Cyrus patch 4.19-2 (including the DMA PCI/SB Live patch)
• X5000: The kernel developers removed the kernel config option 'HAVE_ARCH_PREL32_RELOCATIONS'. You don't need to patch 'arch/powerpc/Kconfig' anymore
• Linux 4.19-rc2 Released As A Small & Calm Release -- phoronix
• Torvalds' announcement
• Phoronix articles, reviews and news stories covering Linux 4.19
• Linux Git log

Download: vmlinux-4.19-rc2-AmigaOne_X1000_X5000.tar.gz

I successfully tested this RC on my X1000, X5000, and in a virtual e5500 QEMU machine today. All USB devices work without any problems with my X5000.

Seems OK on mine, too. The things that don't work never worked on the X5000 with any kernel.

RC3 up and running on my X5000 with the VLC non AltiVec version!
Video output set to X11 video output (XCB) (but still not possible to run full screen fluid due to no graphic hardware acceleration)

Thank you! BTW, I use the 'VA-API video decoder via DRM' for hardware-accelerated decoding on my X5000 and X1000. It works with my Radeon HD4870 (X5000) and with my Radeon HD6870 (X1000).

I'm pretty sure this means that it works well enough to boot Ubuntu at least. Haven't tried REMIX yet. Und auch REMIX:
