The upgrade did not go well for me, on Fienix. Lots of bright colors (and black!) but unreadable text. After a bit of tweaking in about:preferences#content>Colors I got a slight improvement.

I tried some more, and HYPERION entertainment looks pretty much like it did before, but still a major problem in Gmail, where some columns of text don't show. I can make some of the content appear temporarioy by sliding the cursor across it.

When I went through the dpkg -i installation, I noticed that I did not get the two lines that show in Christian's write up:
Processing triggers for bamfdaemon (0.5.4-2) ...
Rebuilding /usr/share/applications/bamf-2.index...

Is that part of the problem? I have not researched "bamf" yet.

While I'm at it, here is another perhaps partially related problem. Last week I noted that I was still getting weird colors on Youtube and was given this advice to fix it:
You need to configure ViewTube first. Please click on the three dots under the video window and select Embed and VLC.
I assume this means the three vertical dots between the "up" button and the right-pointing arrowhead. When I go to Youtube now I don't get any of that bottom line! Also missing: GreaseMonkey. There's a note saying it's incompatible. No ViewTube user scripts, like the two in ArcticFox. VLC WSeb Plug-in is there.
Lately I had been going to ArcticFox to view YouTubes in their proper color. Today all I get is "Unresponsive script"!

Hi Kilaueabart,
  1. Please start InterWeb and install the add-on Greasemonkey version 3.31.4
  2. Then restart InterWeb
  3. After that, add the ViewTube script to Greasemonkey
Good luck,
Christian

Thank you; YouTube finally works on InterWeb after all these months or years.

But the new set-up messed up some other things. At first there was so much missing from my gmail that I couldn't use it. I tried copying color settings from Arctic Fox to Tools>Preferences>Content>Colors and that helped a bit. But a column of check boxes is invisible on the left and instead of a white background in the search box, it's black. Typing in it comes out white.

It should look like this.

Some other programs have black text boxes with white print, but worse, some have a light background with invisible typing until I highlight it with the mouse or "Save" it.
I remember having very similar problems in the past but I can't recall how they were solved.

The new InterWeb version has been updated in the Fienix repository. If you use Fienix, please try to upgrade and let me know how it goes.

Installed without problems, and works both with the 'old' Fienix and Soar.
