Video card

Post by Tijatjj »

Hi I have a few older video cards from the amiga xe . Was wondering if you can place any of them in a x5000. Reason being to transfer old analog tapes to the x5000. The older cards have the ports for the older camcorder’s. Thanks

What cards, what ports?

I don't believe there aren't adapters that can't handle *any* old ports available.

Hi,

if it is cards from AmigaOne XE, it was or PCI or AGP (most probable).

If it is PCI no problem, if it is AGP, you need AGP to PCI adapter. There are some on ebay, but they are not cheap.
One is mentioned here in my article https://www.amigaportal.cz/node/149415, see part 3. Testované karty (Tested cards). This one is super, but is out of stock now. With this adapter you can connect AGP card to your PCI slot.

You need something like https://www.ebay.com/itm/175195424357?_ ... BMjKDOn_tf
or https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R ... &_osacat=0

But I don't know, if on X5000 works second card on PCI slot. On X1000 yes.
Maybe some X5000 owner confirms it.
