I just tried to download a file from OS4Depot to my Work partition. Failed, could not open. Tried a few times.
Downloaded it on Windows, tried to FTP it to X5000, failed, could not open. Sent it to Storage partition on same drive, worked.
Tried to copy it from Storage to Work, failed, error 1060, Could not create destination file.
I can't paste anything to this partition. I can read from it. It is 50GB, only 425MB is used. NGFS 54.34. Information says "read-/writeable". Block size 2,048. 1% full, 99% free.
It says it was Created on: Tuesday December 27 2016 4:16 PM. In fact, all the partitions do. They were made a few weeks ago. And I was not home nor was the computer on until about 4:45 PM.
Two partitions have block size of 2048, two others have 4096. All but work can be written to.
Did full power cycle, same thing. Had been working fine for a few weeks.

Re: Can't write ANY files to partition
Have you checked the protectionbits of the files/drawers?
Re: Can't write ANY files to partition
I tried again today, same thing.
I can't paste to the root of Work or any drawer (not a protection bit issue).

I'm afraid that your partition is screwed. Copy everything onto another partition and format the old one, then copy everything back.

That's what I did. Fortunately it was hardly full and I bought a backup SSD and SATA card just for this reason.
I did a quick format. Good enough or do a full format? Quick format got me working again.

Re: Can't write ANY files to partition
A Quick Format is always good enough. A Full Format is just a waste of time.
Don't EVER do a Full Format on an SSD, you will render it almost unusable.
BTW, there is (I think) a check program called "NGFCheck" in C/. It will run through the full volume and check that it is all OK. It can also do some repairs, if there is not too much wrong. Use the "List" option to get a list of all that it wants to repair before you include the "Repair" option. There are some docs for it in Documentation (I hope).
