But, caja is so random. Tonight I booted up the 6.13 RC2 and caja had crashed in libmate. I don't know what it's doing but it has some bug. If the desktop menu keeps closing I know it's playing up. Well onwards and upwards. The RC3 will be coming soon.
I tested Caja with the RC3. It doesn't crash but it has used a lot of CPU resources. (40%)
After a logout and login, Caja works with low CPU resources again.

Please test the kernels.
Thanks,

That's interesting. I don't see caja using lots of resources once the desktop has loaded. When I ran top I didn't see it near top of the list. So on my system it doesn't appear to be using much CPU time. It does however leave evidence in dmesg. Seems to calm down after a while as I don't see more crashes after booting.
In any case, I tested the RC3, and it all looks good. Boot speed normal. Normal in use. Shut down quickly.

Thanks. I've been interested in dracut after finding out about it. But AFAIK it conflicts with initramfs-tools. Unless they can cohabitate?
I don't think they can cohabitate. I had to install dracut because mkinitramfs doesn't exist on Void. Dracut is the successor of mkinitramfs.
