Yes I did! Years ago I "hacked" Ubuntu to install on my A1/XE. And it's been solid since. The only Linux install I have that hasn't broken and needed a reinstall. I built the Debian installer on it. It's faster than the latest Debian. Even the browser is still okay if a bit too old for real browsing.

I released the
RC6 of kernel
4.20 for testing today.
New:
It also includes:
- Initial ramdisks for the X5000 and X1000 (You can boot with a LABEL or UUID)
- Compressed Linux kernel (zImage) for the X1000
- Fienix Linux support
- MATE PowerPC Remix support
- ubuntu MATE 15.04, 15.10, 16.04 LTS, 16.10, and 17.04 support
- Debian Sid support
- Linux kernel icon for OS4.1 by Tommysammy
