with kernel 4.13-rc4 my X1000 boots fine into MATE 17.04 GUI.
Firefox and LibreOffice seem to be mostly working.

I released the RC5 for the X1000 and X5000 today.

New:

• Linux 4.13-rc5 Released As The Kernel Proceeds Normally -- phoronix
• 4.13-rc5 announcement
• PowerPC fixes 4.13-6
• Phoronix articles, reviews and news stories covering Linux 4.13
• Linux Git log

Download: vmlinux-4.13-rc5-AmigaONE_X1000_X5000.tar.gz



Please note: Please install the Mesa version 17.0.1 if you want to use the MATE PowerPC Remix 2017 with the kernel 4.13.

Ok. It boots into Mate without problem, though it does seem to take a bit longer.

vmlinux-4.13-rc6 boots into MATE 17.04 without a problem on my X1000 . Firefox (47) seems solid.
