Hi,

A bugfix release of SuperTuxKart 0.8 is available.

New:

1. The issue with the wrong colors has been solved.
2. Added AltiVec support

Download: supertuxkart-0.8-altivec-linux-glibc2.13-ppc.tar.bz2

Note: You need Kernel 3.8.7 or higher.

Have a lot of fun with the bugfix release!

I had problem with this version at start

bin/supertuxkart: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

No problem with the previous version on the same system MintPPC 11.

I made a "sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev" and it solves the issue.

STK runs very well (except the lack of joystick support) !

And the installation of your last 3.9.0 kernel was very easy.

Thank you for your hint.

I have installed Mesa 9.1.3 (Debian Sid). Unfortunately STK (old package) has wrong colors. But the new package has correct colors.

Can you please supply a new download link for SuperTuxKart 0.8 for PowerPC Linux.

I would like to try your latest version under the new Live Ubuntu distro.

Yes, it is. Is it on the Ubuntu live dvd later?

Yes it plays fine with the Live DVD (installed). It is not currently installed by default. I will check to see is this is possible (assuming you are in agreement).

Also your versions appears better that the version available from the Ubuntu software center, which had a few minor graphic glitches, Your version is fine!

Yes, of course I'm in agreement. It would be very nice to have SuperTuxKart 0.8/AltiVec on the Live DVD.
