No error messages. Just plain nothing. And I haven't tried the Snoopy-thing. That's on my todo-list.
MTB ran okay when installing FinalContact, but that was from cd of course. After install, from hd, it runs no more.

Re: PartitionWizard does not run
Snoopy didn't run because there is no dos.library on my system.
SnoopDos says:
Count Process Name Action Target Name Options Res.
----- ------------ ------ ----------- ------- ----
1 WBL ChangeDir FirstContact:System
2 WBL Open Media Toolbox Read OK
3 WBL ChangeDir Env:
4 WBL Open ELF.LazyBinding Read Fail
5 WBL ChangeDir FirstContact:System
6 WBL ChangeDir FirstContact:
7 Media Toolbox Open NIL: Write OK
8 Media Toolbox ChangeDir FirstContact:System
9 Media Toolbox Open Media Toolbox.info Read OK
Doesn't make any sense to me (please refer to my sig...), but maybe one of you clever guys can work this out

Re: PartitionWizard does not run
I believe there is some issue which sometimes makes MT disagree with the network. Try shutting down the network (or disable the network startup on the next boot) and see if MT doesn't start then.
Best regards,
Niels

Re: PartitionWizard does not run
How odd, boot up WB, insert the CD, find MT and drag it over top of your HD installed version, say yes if you get 'want to replace etc' then run it from HD, does it work now?

Re: PartitionWizard does not run
@ Slayer: didn't make any difference.
@ Niels: I removed the contents of sys:internet and devs/netinterfaces and devs/internet and then MT started properly. The plot thickens!
After having placed back the contents of these drawers it turned out that the .config in devs/netinterfaces causes the trouble. Without it: MT runs nicely; with it: MT runs not.
At least some clue...
thanks guys!

not .config in sys:internet, but in devs/netinterfaces

Re: PartitionWizard does not run
That's not so strange. When the network is started from Startup-Sequence or Network-Startup, it does so by executing AddNetInterface for each file found in DEVS:NetInterfaces. If it doesn't fnid any, it doesn't start any network.Johan wrote:it turned out that the .config in devs/netinterfaces causes the trouble. Without it: MT runs nicely; with it: MT runs not.
So removing (renaming) the contents of that drawer is just one more way to avoid starting the network at bootup.

Niels
Re: PartitionWizard does not run
Okay, that I understand. Still, the question remains: why, oh why?!?
And: I do have to start that network sooner or later, to go online, don't I?
