I've never heard of a "microdrive". I had to look it up in Wikipedia to find out what it is.

Certainly I've never tried one in the CF slot, so I don't guarantee that it will work. The Wikipedia article does not describe the pinouts, so I can't even guess. I can tell you that the CF driver does not grok microdrives, so it would have to be very similar to a CF card to work.

Unless you already have a microdrive with data on it that you wish to read, a modern CF card will work so much better.
cheers

Thanks for the answer, I have 4-5 microdrives that I have always used on Amiga 600 and 1200, with microdrives I have never had compatibility problems unlike CF cards, so I got curiosity. Microdrives were used extensively in devices for listening to music such as iPods.

Hmm, I have a couple of Microdrives and a number of cartridges.

Mind you these are ZX Microdrives from the 80s which I used to use with my ZX Spectrum.

So not really the same thing ... sorry for the OT ;-).

Best regards,

Niels
