Searching X1000 IO Shield

Post by Benny »

My machine does not have the IO Shield or backplate. Does one know if there are any left, somewhere, in an Amigashop ?

Back in the day, before they had an official backplate, I made my own by cutting up a DVD case and drilling/cutting some holes. Looked and worked well enough.

There's a lha file attached.
Inside that is a PDF file
that describes how to make a backplate.

Or something like that.

Nice, could you do that in cm, please? :-P

We are in the beginning of a mass extinction.

Could I? Yes.

_Would_ I?
Not today.

Here's an "Amiga Answer".. Create a text file s:shell/InchToCm
.key Inch/A
.bra {
.ket }
calculator compute 2.54 * {Inch}

then "protect s:shell/InchToCm +s"

And now, thanks to the magic of Amiga, you may type

InchtoCm 3.75
9.525

You're welcome!

Yes I tried Amigakit.

Their last reply was on the 27th of March, I replied 3 times how I could order the Shield and some additional goods in their store. But still waiting.
