Just wanted to say I had this problem recently, my X1000 would just randomly crash, and then not reboot, this only happened in the last week, but today, my machine wouldn't even come on, got a little freaked out, but tried these tips and it seems to be all good now, its a weird problem.

AmigaKit claims it is a software problem. So far this is the most optimistic response I have had, because none of the cable-switching/glue-removing stuff suggested here has worked for me.
