I wanted to let everyone know that we started an X1000 wiki page a while ago to capture the common issues and solutions discussed in this forum.

Go to http://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/AmigaOne_X1000

If you see questions or fixes for common problems repeated here then we can capture that information on the wiki.

If anyone would like to volunteer to help keep the wiki up to date then please email me. Many hands make light work.

Great!

TempDocky started to scream on my machine after one week of use in cold weather.
It has been discussed, its limits should be raised up, but since it only tool that indicate this problem under OS4
should I perform this?

X1000 CPU temperatures are rising

Clean both fan filters on the front fan openings.
Clean the fan filter UNDER the power supply unit.

Nice. This should turn out to be a good asset to the community over time.

On a personal note, one of things I would like to see is a step by step guide on how to create an up to date installation ISO.

Here is a good one: I had intermittent on-off problems where the motherboard sometime would not turn off or turn on using the soft switch; the problem turned to be a semi-loose PCI card. Go figure!

My X1000 doesnt soft reboot from Linux to boot screen or from AmigaPuff with Hard Reset.

On things that should go to X1000 Wiki page

CFE can only handle FAT16 drives USB drives I believe and they should be inserted after you enter CFE.

For Linux install OS partition must be EXT3 during install.

For PowerOFF and Hard-Reboot get the X1000-LinuxKernel 3.12.5 and AmigaPOFF
Use USB-Sticks with Ext2 or Fat32
Use CF-Cards in the X1000-CF-SLot with Fat32 or Ext2. Ext2 ist recommend for install a Rescue-Linux on the CF! (And yes i tried it and works for me ;) )

Use a FFS (Dos/3) Partition for Transfering Data between Linux and AmigaOS4.1.6. Linux can mount a FFS Partition ;) Mount -t affs /dev/sdx /home/amiga use makedir /home/amiga first

While the Debian installation document mentions using a hub to support the key board and booting from a USB stick on port 0, it appears the hub can confuse the boot sequence and, in my case, freezes the early gray A-Eon screen with no further progress. Removing the hub fixes the problem. It seems that the SAM's suffer the same fate (per Christopher at Amigakit).

There are two typos in one headline

X1000 fails to boot, "Failed to load aigaboot.of: Insufficient memeory"

That oughta be "amigaboot.of" and memory"
