The driver is distributed by AmiUpdate.
I activated AmiUpdate and got around 20 updates. None of them seemed to have anything to do with audio.
Where do I find the existing "driver" so I can look at its install date and the version #?

I'll look into why AmiUpdate isn't running automatically. I thought I had set it up that way... recently?

If your logging in to the Amiupdate server with your user and pass. Then it means its already installed.
I cant remember of the top of my head the exact name of the Audio driver update, but it will be there.

When did you get your X1000?

You can manually read the driver version with
version files devs:audio/hdaudio.audio

I can not tell you the current version because.. I really don't know.
AmiUpdate has NEVER updated my hdaudio driver. I suspect it's because my machine is the source and not the destination.
I'm not sure which version was the last one to go public.

Can we get a NON-BETA to tell us the current release version please??

Wrong path, try version devs:ahi/hdaudio.audio

Sorry about the bad path, and thanks Ken for setting it straight.

One other possibility might be a question of which AmiUpdate server(s) you are configured for. I am away from home and Amigas right now..

I believe there is an update server for applications and another for OS components.. I think.

But if you are logging in to the correct server, and your machine is identified as an X1000, the rest should be pretty automatic.

Basically, ggw, you want your server list in Prefs/Updates to look like the attached grab.

Oh, and I can confirm that the latest version of hdaudio offered publically through AmiUpdate is 6.18.

Best regards,

Niels
