USBCtrl restart freezes X1000 input

If I run a "USBCtrl restart" command when there is a USB massstorage device (Flash drive) connected to my X1000, all input is frozen. The clock continues to operate so it's not a complete lockup, there is just no more mouse or keyboard input. Even if I remove the Flash drive, the X1000 input will freeze when USBCtrl restart is run. Once a massstorage device has been connected to my X1000 (even if it is immediately removed) the USBCtrl restart command cannot be used without freezing input. Can anyone else comfirm this problem and can we get it fixed?
