Seems strange that it has a set of modules labeled: LABEL AmigaOS4.1_Update_6
and then another set of modules which are labeled: LABEL AmigaOS4.1_Update_5-Debug
Why would we have update 6 modules for normal operation and update 5 modules for debugging?

It's only a text glitch. If you boot the debug section you'll actually get a Update 6 system (only difference: it uses the kernel.debug instead of the kernel). Just change the text to "....Update_6-Debug" if you like. I did.

The same goes for Apple keyboards, which I use on my Amiga as it's layout is IMHO the closest you'll get to a Classic Amiga keyboard. Unfortunately there is the downside that some of the symbol keys don't match what pressing them does (I could change them but then it would get mighty confusing when I switched to a normal PC keyboard, so I just learnt what the keys actually do...).

congrats on getting your X1000 up & running
btw, I hope Amigakit has reimbursed you in some way for the defective card they sent you

I don't think it's a defective card. The same problem existed on my µA1 (using the same chip) until an updated driver was released. I think it's a driver issue and it may not be worth fixing since other sound cards work well and there is a workaround involving AHI settings. The card is just a temporary solution until the internal sound is working anyway.
oh I see it's a card you installed yourself then. I mistakenly thought the card was installed by Amigakit.
The noisy card was supplied by Amigakit. Since there is a workaround, I don't think they will consider the card defective. My SoundBlaster card sounds better, so I would probably have replaced the original card anyway. I might try the original card in my SAM Flex when I get a chance and see how it works there.
