Autodoc for version.library

Post by migthymax »

Hi everyone,

I stumbled over the version.library and wanted to know what the library has to offer.

But i haven't had any success to find any autodoc documentation for the version.library in the SDK.
Even my google searches failed.

Can anybody enlighten me where top find some documentation about that library?

best regards

The verson library documentation is included in my SDK. Do you have the latest SDK?
Mine is:
$VER: SDK 53.32 (23.12.2020)
$VER: dos_sdk 54.112 (4.1.2021)"

My version of the SDK is 53.30, the latest i could download from the download section of the Hyperion website. After your response, I again searched the SDK: for any file having 'version' in it. A couple of files appeared but the only Autdodoc found was biosversion.doc. So i assume that if in my Version of the SDK a Autodoc for the version.library would exist, it should reside in SDK:Documentation/Autdocs/?

So where can i get the latest SDK? And what is the dos_sdk? And same question for that, where to get it?

@migthymax
Some latest bits of SDK updates placed in the FE_Update2 archive released a few weeks ago.

As kas1e says it's included in the AmigaOS Final Update2 archive and the Update2 sdk archive.
Once installed it can be found in the location you expect: SDK:Documentation/Autdocs/

I beieve it should have been installed automatically into your SDK as part of the update installation - at least if you have an active SDK: assign on the volume you updated.

Well that explains, I installed the SDK after the whole OS installation. Thus i didn't get it updated.

Yes. The full SDK has not (yet) been updated to match the state of post-update 2.

There are no functions in version.library; hence nothing to document and therefore no autodocs.
