AmigaOne 500 - LED signaling

Post by truman.burbank »

Sometimes my computer crashes - black screen. I noticed LEDs blink on the board.

What is their designation? (not included in the documentation, the manufacturer does not write off).

I have a similar problem with my Sam 460. Every now and then (about every six months), it fails to boot and I have to clean the contacts on the memory SIMM.

It's easy if you are OK with handling sensitive electronic components like memory. Just release the SIMM card, clean the edge connector with a rag or tissue (don't touch the edge connector with your fingers).
Then brush around and inside the mobo connector with a small paint brush before re-installing the SIMM card. That's all I have to do to get mine working again.
cheers

I used a shaving brush, is more handy, I cleaned everything. For now I have no problems, but there are places where the computer overheats. Are you using any additional cooling?
