good evening.
I assembled an AmigaNG with Sam460 and RadeonHD 7750 card with two versions of RadeonHD.chip drivers, version 1.2 and 3.6 and everything works fine. But having everything mounted in a low profile mini desktop, the graphics card gets too hot and after a couple of hours of operation the computer freezes.
I then bought a Club3D Radeon R7 250 Eyefinity4 in Germany with four mini display port outputs which should heat up less.
Unfortunately, however, when Uboot starts, the card works fine and displays the startup. As soon as AmigaOS4.1f starts, the screen signal disappears.
I connected the card to the Monitor with a Mini display port to Vga adapter.
I was told that probably the problem is in the RadeonHD drivers not handling the mini display port outputs yet,
is that true or is there something else to do?
thank you.
Luigi

I could be wrong, but if "minidisplay" is the same as "displayport" then no, there is no support for that output port in the gfx drivers.
Not sure if they are planned either, iirc I was told that there is no need to support those, because most cards still feature dvi and hdmi.

yes I believe that only the connector format changes. It is sad, however, that there is no support, also given the cost to purchase the A-eon driver.Raziel wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 1:10 am I could be wrong, but if "minidisplay" is the same as "displayport" then no, there is no support for that output port in the gfx drivers.

Thanks for the confirmation

Regular DisplayPort from the Video Card to DVI input on the monitor worked for me . DisplayPort to DVI cable .
Normally use the video card HDMI output to the monitor HDMI input.
Radeon Rx560 with DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI outputs.
What wont work is DIsplayPort on the video card to DisplayPort on the monitor.

Let Hans know. If he can find the corresponding commands to activate the port in the corresponding linux driver he usually does his best to implement it in his.
