Re: AmigaOne XE G3 question
I have managed to found a PCI controller from a friend, it uses the ATP 865A chip and it is actually an Acard 6880, any hopes for it to work?
Re: AmigaOne XE G3 question
I don't know, never heard of that type of card being tried.
Maybe someone else can jump in with more info
I do know that the SIIG ATA133 card works!
But good luck and have fun.

Re: AmigaOne XE G3 question
Hello folks.
I managed to find an ATA card with the SIL 0680 chip, both uboot and AmigaOS 4.1 recognises it and the system boots OK with my hard disk.
However there are lots of errors for bad blocks on the hard disk. I have get similar errors in the past but have used the repair tool and thought that the problem was gone. I do not know perhaps this would be a compatibility issue with the card, but I got to find a new hard disk to test and make sure. Right?
Anyway I am taking out the old hard disk and plug in a Maxtor 20 giga one, to make a fresh install, however it is not recognized under media toolbox. I have tried the same both under the PCI controller and on the onboard IDE. It is a simple IDE hard disk, no jumpers.
Any ideas?
Should I go for specific hard disks with specific features in order to get recognized?
And a last question: The AmigaOne scans the bus 0 for some minutes it does not find any drives -since nothing is connected- on the onboard IDE and then goes on the bus 1 where it finds the IDE card and then boots. How can I skip the bus 0 scanning? Any setting on uboot?

@count
I also am just learning about the questions you pose...and I read the docs in the Documention/ide/sii680ide, check it out!
So, yes setenv will change the ide "timeout"
But, after I installed my sii interface, I had no errors. So I can't speak to those issues.

Re: AmigaOne XE G3 question
Have managed to solve all the problems.
Bus scanning was bypasses by disabling ide from uboot, Integrated peripherals menu.
Read write erros on hard disk gone after disabling ohci driver on kicklayout. Seems my usb card or the ohci driver were the reason of a possible conflict. It sounds weird but it is true.
See all details here:
