This is version 2.39 of AmiUpdate as you guessed. Looking more closely, I notice due AmiUpdate scans all the files on the local disk, then synchronizes them according to their source and according to their availability.

Yes, that sounds right. You can study more closely what it does by saving the log (go into the Updates prefs on the last tab and set a destination on disk for the log, and optionally also set the checkmark below it to get a more detailed log file).
However I can't update to 2.47 or anything newer than I have. I've already set the update server to codebench but no updates are found.
I also went to the amiupdate website and to the Downloads section to try to manually download and update but I can't find any links to the newer versions.
Does anyone have a copy of anything after 2.43 they can send me or let me know what the link is to download the latest version please?
