Hi all,
Getting some shadows and window glitches when copying files with DirOpus.
The video captures it better than I can explain it.

Update5 Shadows and window glitches
Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
It look like a driver bug, what gfx are you using and what is your Amiga model ?
Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
@dlni
It wouldn't hurt to tell what version of DIrOpus too.

Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
This should be a problem of rtg.library before version 53.21.ddni wrote:Hi all,

Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
Hi, it is a 4850 card. The x1000 is a new system from amigakit which should be fully up to date. I am not at home to check the library versions. DOpus is also the version shipped by amigakit.

Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
I checked my Update 5 installation and the rtg.library version is 53.28.ddni wrote:Hi, it is a 4850 card. The x1000 is a new system from amigakit which should be fully up to date. I am not at home to check the library versions. DOpus is also the version shipped by amigakit.
I don't have any kind of problem with shadows, with or without copying with DOpus.
Please, could you tell me the version of your rtg.library?
Can you check if the problem exists without running DOpus, but just resizing windows on the workbench?

@Alfredone
Back at my X1000.
I looked for rtg.library and found it in System:Kickstart/rtg.library the version is 41.4355 (14/07/2011)
Is this the correct library or is another copy hiding in OS4 somewhere?

Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
No, that's the one. The X1000 version of Update 5 is not yet at the same level as the recently released version for the other (non-beta) platforms. The rtg.library is one of the differences.ddni wrote:@Alfredone

But don't be alarmed by the apparently huge difference in version numbers; it got bumped from 41.x to 53.x quite recently to conform with the versioning of the rest of the system modules.
Best regards,
Niels
Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
Thanks Niels. Does this rule out rtg.library as the source of the shadow errors?
With some more testing, I notice that the shadows are corrupted whenever I resize any Workbench windows.

Re: Update5 Shadows and window glitches
Yes, the new rtg.library fixes the shadow error, and ( as Niels said previously) will be provided in the next OS4.1 update for X1000.ddni wrote:Thanks Niels. Does this rule out rtg.library as the source of the shadow errors?
