The current version is 53.13 (22/04/2014). I'm sure your version would be the same?
I missed it...again.

Yes, the version here is the same.

Maybe it's the hardware?
Though i tried three different SATA drives...maybe it's the sata600.device?

Here's my tooltypes:
DOSDEV=CD0
DEVICE=sb600sata.device
UNIT=1
SKIP=2
PEEKTIME=500000
(PUBSCREEN=<public screen name>)
BUFMEMTYPE=1
USECDDB
URL=http://gnudb.gnudb.org:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi
(PROXY=)
USER=user@domain.com
CACHEDIR=T:CDDB
LISTSIZE=10
USEAHI
and here's the crash(es) i caught on serial (not much help i'm afraid, since programs crash all over the place)

No usable information in that log, I'm afraid. Doesn't even say which program crashed.

I can't imagine that it's a hardware fault - more likely some other component that has been updated since then.

PlayCD is a really old program, made well before Reaction was thought of, back in the old GUI days and I can't even follow how it works. I just added the AHI stuff to let people play newer CD/DVD drives without analogue audio output.

There are so many other replacements these days that no one is going to revamp PlayCD - the GUI code is so ancient that you would have to rewrite it.
cheers

@tonyw

Ok, thank you for getting back to me.
Will probably remove the whole program then...
