Re: A-eon's old linux wheezy usb stick
Ok, with your commands, it appears to load the kernel, but hangs on "return from prom_init. After a long wait, my monitor goes blank & turns off (standby mode). Ken The kernel from the usb stick is too old for your graphics card. Could you try it with the latest release candidate of kernel...

Re: A-eon's old linux wheezy usb stick
I have the red wheezy bootable usb stick I've been trying to get booting again, but can't recall the CFE command line for it. I have "setenv bootargs 'root=/dev/sde1';boot -elf -noints -fs=ext2", but I can't remember the rest. Is the kernel on the usb stick? I see what looks like some old...

Re: X1000 boots to black with Radeon R9 270X and 2.7 driver
I know of no one who has ever tried the firmware "rescue" feature with the x1000 till now. I'm wondering if it is even tested on new boards now to verify the backup rom is even programmed if ever needed.

Re: X1000 boots to black with Radeon R9 270X and 2.7 driver
Hate replying for others, but Mike, me, & Epsilon chat in IRC a lot. Mike plans on returning his 270X in the morning & probably won't read your reply till after. He also tried booting linux, but got a black screen as well, so thinking the card is bad. Epsilon however was able to boot into li...

Re: Migrating to a new HDD
I'm planning to...so here's a few questions i'm still uncertain of 1) What does this .of hold, is the one from the AmigaOS 4.1 FE install CD the latest and is there a chance that it will grow bigger in size over time/new OS versions? It contains FS support info, so if a new FS comes out, it would b...

@romwack
Any chance you happen to check the battery voltage before or after removal?

Re: OS4.1FE did not start.
True, I copied os4.1 to the stick & it loaded KS off the HD & WB off the stick, nice, but I'd want both to load off the stick to be useful.Elwood wrote:and a FAT32 formatted USB Stick can halt booting too.

Re: OS4.1FE did not start.
After installing OS4.1FE did not start. I have OS4.1 instaled on a blank hard drive with 700MB on a AmigaOne XE. At the start from the HD the startup screen will displayed, and then does not happen anymore. :( I just ran into this situation a few days ago, in my case I had a blank usb stick plugged...
