Re: Scratchy boot sound on X1000

Xenic, I had the same problem here with the scratchy sound with the card that came with my X1000. I didn't put up with it for any time at all, as I happened to have a SoundBlaster card on hand just like you. It lives in my X1000 still. In fact, I sent my old, scratchy-prone card to PJS. LOL. Sounds ...

Re: Fullscreen Warp3D games with a dual GFX setup

zzd10h, My solutions for these problems are different depending on the program... so I had to go look what I did with WarpView. In this case in the icon tooltypes I specified a screen width of 1920 and height of 1200 and color depth of 32. This causes WV to open on my large LCD screen fed by the Rad...

Re: Fullscreen Warp3D games with a dual GFX setup

I do not have a 9250 installed in my X1000 at present but instead two Radeon HD card -- so no Warp3D for me until the new driver is released. But I have experienced a similar situation, with DVPlayer, where I cannot specify which display is my preferred on for fullscreen videos. Program has a mind o...

Configuring MintPPC installation

Now that I have video hardware acceleration working at last one one of the trio of Linux flavors I've tried on my X1000, I am notincing a couple of oddities about my MintPPC install. I might be better served on the MintPPC forum, but I thought I would start here to see if I am alone with this. To st...

Re: Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670

Good work! I'll see if I can do the same here, following your lead, zz10dh.

LATER EDIT: It works! I'm using your exact text, and I'm getting 1070-1090fps on glxgears now. Have installed Blender 2.63 under MintPPC, and the interface is downright snappy now. Good work.

Re: Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670

Is the difference is the kernel level used during install / bootup ? Is the vmlinux39 the kernel to use during install / bootup ? I will try it, fourth attempt will be the good one :=) I don't think that's it, but let us know if you discover differently. You see, I did not re-install Ubuntu. This i...

Re: Linux kernel 3.5.7 and HD6670

Here I can't select something, I'm just able to move my mouse. No,keyboard, no mouse click. Yikes... same thing happened to me last night. I get to the Ubuntu login screen now and can move the mouse (though it seems sporadic at times) but am unable to select anything or type into the password box. ...

Re: How does dual monitor word on X1000

Hey, TJ! Left-Amiga + M flips through each open screen in order. It doesn't matter what display each screen is on. Each time you do this key combination you are taken to a new screen among the open screens. Clicking with the mouse on the gadget at the top right of screens will do the same thing. Lef...
