Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

@simulant
@trixie does HDMI achieve 2560x1440 for you or does it only work with DVI?
Both HDMI and DVI give me 2560x1440 on my setup.

Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

@simulant Having read this thread, I was awaiting with some apprehension the arrival of my new ASUS PB328Q 32" monitor. I decided to go for a jumbo panel to give justice to the Radeon RX560 card I had put in my X5000 earlier this year. I know it doesn't solve your problem at all, but neverthele...

The USB support on OS4 machines has always been a bit flakey. Never tried a gamepad but as regards keyboards and mice, Logitech stuff always worked for me very well (wired I mean; don't know about wireless).

Re: Wrong version in AmiGS

but was that the point of Trixie's remark? I thought it was quite obvious. Hyperion hire a team of developers producing updates that never get released, and a team of betatesters reporting bugs that end up duly registered but never fixed. A typical Kafka-esque world in which a closed system was est...

Re: Wrong version in AmiGS

So don't hold your breath. The report is there, and if/when somebody touches the program, it will most likely be fixed at the same time.
Looks like Franz Kafka can easily take over the OS4 development now, the result will be the same.

Re: Diskimage.device problem

Problem solved, it was all my own fault. I had disabled "fastfilesystem.kmod" in the Kicklayout, which was a stupid thing to do. It didn't occur to me that diskimage.device would need it to mount IDF0: etc.

Re: Exec Bug Report

@Thomas Rapp Interesting suggestion No, the suggestion actually made good sense. It was my understanding that Hypex used a system alert function to display some error-kind information to the user, for which a requester is indeed a preferred choice. I hadn't known what his program was in fact up to b...

Why not use a requester for that instead?

Re: radiobutton.gadget doesn't load/open

@javierdlr

Are you using the -lauto switch? I think some common BOOPSI classes are loaded and opened by libauto for you automatically. This is why you may be experiencing that certain gadgets don't seem to need opening, while others do.

Re: USB Stack Issue still unsolved...

I'm not sure to what extent the USB stack can be blamed, as some of the problems can probably be attributed to the hardware. On my X5000, it looks like the USB ports are somewhat under-powered, as more often than not I lose connection during copying of a large data chunk onto an external drive. Some...
