Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450

Interresting, I'm not alone ;) Do you have problem, too, with Dopus, Ranger, window's shadow, amiPDF... ? Therefore 1) we 2 have no luck with bad 5450 2) our cards a little bit different than Hans, nbache and Trevor ones 3) our x1000 are different than betatester 4) the drivers in particular situati...

Re: smbfs for large datas freezes my X1000 (works on Peg2)

Happy to know that it's just me who have this problem, thank you.

I will test this evening by ftp, good idea.

Nevertheless, it works fine if I select RAM: as destination... Maybe a problem in my partitions definitions.

smbfs for large datas freezes my X1000 - SOLVED

Hi, I'm transferring all my Peg2 datas from my NAS to my x1000 (4gb RAM RTL8139) using smbfs (1.74). After around 700-800Mb of data download, the data rate falls to 0kb/s and my x1000 freezes. I try around 10 times, and each time, the same problem around 700-800mb of download I made the same test on...

Re: Radeon HD 6850 in X1000

Yes, it's exactly that.
I thought that it could be another symptom of my HD5450'problem, but no, it's normal.

Re: Radeon HD 6850 in X1000

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450

Hi,
I have tried this but without success, same problem
I have tried to disable transparency with and without 3D acceleration.
Of course, between each test, I have rebooted the x1000.

See grab :

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450

I don't have PC (just an iMac) therefore I can't test this card outside the x1000.

But you are right, it's the occasion to try Linux on x1000.
Have to buy a CF card and install it.

No success, still have glitches in Ranger and AmiPDF (and TuneNet too have the buttons who are half displayed) I have tried this actions 1) Unplug/Plug the card => no improvements 2) change PCI-E slots => no improvements 3) Burn an install CD and boot on it with the last RadeonHD and PCIGraphics mod...

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450

Therefore it's possible that my card has a problem (because the monitor works with my peg) ?

I will try to remove the glue between the card and the PCI-E slot, maybe it causes the problem...

Thank Trevor for your confirmation.
