Impossible to create menu item containing pipe

Using menuclass, it appears to be impossible to create a sensible menu label which contains the vertical pipe symbol ("|"). This is because of the embedded shortcut key nonsense which is switched on by default, so any label containing a vertical bar ends up with the first part showing over...

Re: MenuClass

I don't see what the point of the wiki is, then, if it's only going to half-document something? I see why you'd want to keep the more esoteric features out of the wiki, but toggle and MX features are pretty standard. At the moment, you have to go to a different file completely to get this informatio...

Re: Rubber banding/bounding box selection

Workbench isn't drawing the box on the screen; it's drawing it on a background window. If you uncheck the menu item Workbench/Backdrop? you will see that you can't draw the box on the screen; only in the window. That's not entirely true. It is perfectly happy to draw over the screen, you just can't...

Re: MenuClass

Is this not enough? http://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/Intuition_Menu_Class#Selection_state_of_toggle_select_and_mutual_exclude_items Not really, as that doesn't explain how to set the items as selectable. Something akin to the notes in the includes would suffice: #define MA_Toggle (MA_Dummy + 9) /* (BOO...

MenuClass

The MenuClass page is missing any information on how to set a menu item as MENUTOGGLE and MX. It only describes how to read/set the currently selected state.

Re: Rubber banding/bounding box selection

Exactly what WB does I don't know. In SketchBlock I do it but drawing lines with pattern setup via the gfx.library API and the using complement mode, so you can draw and erase without needing to save any backup bitmap. I think that's how I tried to do it originally (a long time ago) and got in a st...

Rubber banding/bounding box selection

How does Workbench draw the "rubber band" for drag selections? I want something similar which draws above all my windows like the WB one, although it doesn't particularly need to be animated. Ideally I would like to just tell Intuition to draw it and give it the co-ordinates, but I can't s...

Re: OpenAmigaGuideAsync notification on close

Hooray! This appears to finally be fixed in OS4.1FEU1. Shame I can't actually remember why I needed it (or, rather, what I did to workaround not having it).

Yes it is. IPv4 on the LAN side and IPv6 on the WAN side.
Can it magic up IPv4 addresses for IPv6-only hosts?

Re: Roadshow TCP/IPv4 to include IPv6?

I mentioned this years and years ago. Sooner or later, IPv6 will be required for Internet access, at least to parts of the Internet. The IPv4 address pool is running out, and if you can't lookup and access IPv6 addresses you can't access IPv6-only hosts. A gateway between the IPv4 Amiga and the IPv6...
