Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

Oh boy, your monitor can "only" do 80 kHz Horizontal sync...(taken from the offical specs) On my setup (using 2560x1440) i need to use @59 Hz with the Horizontal Sync goes up to 89,29 kHz (reported by ScreenMode Prefs and my max setting of 88 kHz) The calculation for the needed kHz is the...

Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

My monitor does report my 2560x1440@60 if I choose detect automatically or manually input it. But it is just if I actually then apply the resolution to try to use it I just get the black monitor screen with "Out of range" floating around. I've also tried adding custom frequencies from 30Hz...

Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

@Simulant Your best bet would be to alter your monitor driver settings manually In Sys:Devs/Monitors find your Monitor file Right-Click on the file, "Information...", go to the "Icon" tab and scroll down to your 2560x1440 setting Change it to Mode=2560x1440@55 and try. If the Mo...

Re: Can't set 2560x1440 monitor resolution - ASUS VX24AH

@simulant Thats a combination of flaws in the gfx driver (i think) and screenmode prefs (i'm sure of) Take a look here The consensus is that you need to manually alter your gfx settings in your Monitor file. (System:Devs/Monitors/Your-Monitor-file) I finally ended up leaving the @60 on my 2560x1440...

Re: USB errors/ USB log problems?

It is a pain that this usb unreliability exists - if ports existed for classic amiga joypads and keyboards with legacy connectors it wouldn't be so bad, but everyone is dependant on USB whether they want to use old or new mice, keyboards and joysticks etc... I've got my Amiga 4000 keyboard and mouse...

Re: USB flash FAT32 and usb external NTFS drive

Hi, It seems that the AmigaOS USB stack or another component can't mount disk partitions over 2TB currently, USB2 or 3 doesn't matter. For your 1TB disk, if it is empty, try to format it on a OS other than Win10. Some users reports that some of there disks didn't work when they were formated with a...

Re: USB flash FAT32 and usb external NTFS drive

After the popup, can you try hitting Ctrl-Alt-M and see if you get the massstorage GUI up? What does it show, if anything? Best regards, Niels Hi thanks for the suggestion but after it pops up and I hit ctrl alt + m only my hard drive partitions are shown... usb.log shows this: I: [21:52:09] hub.us...

Re: USB flash FAT32 and usb external NTFS drive

If you have a possibility to use an external power supply for your drive, it would be much safer. The problem is that the USB (2?) standard specifies a maximum power rating for attached devices, which is followed rather closely on (some of?) the Amiga NG hardware, while PCs etc. usually don't care ...
