Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock
Ahh... you *also* have the problem of a non-ticking realtime clock and *in addition* keyboard issues in U-Boot. And of course, only the keyboard issues were solved after you changed the keyboard. Sorry, was a misunderstanding. Anyway, your keyboard issues are an U-Boot issue, which is not our respo...

I don't know, but the syntoms are the same.
One more problem are, that the keyboard did not work during boot.

Re: Low level access to X5000 realtime clock
For unknown reason, I have not been able to get the realtime clock of my X5000 running. Any 'user level' operation has not have effect on it (changing battery; Time prefs; Setclock; U-boot/Date ; Linux). Only the date stamp is saved ( e.g. Setcklock save) and can be read (Setclock load). So, I woul...

Re: Realtime clock not working
Try to press "space", should appear the boot menu, with my old keyboard did not see this menu.
And I can't select the partition o boot.
And the realtime clock don't work.
With the new, I can see the boot menu and can select the boot partition.
Clock shows the time correctly.

Re: Realtime clock not working
I have the same problem for some time.
And also from time to time, workbench hangs when loading.
Then, I change the keyboard for one Logitech. And everything works fine since then.

Re: Media Toolbox and OS
You can mount both partitions, and hide one or another with Wokbench Prefs.
Works fine. I have this config in my system.

Re: X5000 problems
what version of arteffect are you trying to run? Version 4.0. I tried both a fresh install from CD and just copying across my A1XE files, and both crash. Will post a crash log when I get home tonight. For me, Art Effect 4.0 works fine in my X5000 How did you install it? Was there anything special y...

Re: Scaling Icons
Yes, I make it.
Save the prefs, and reset. Make some changes and save again.
Reboot and changes are Ok. Restore to the values I like and save.
Reboot and confirm all is good.
Thanks to all for your help.
Best regards.

Re: Scaling Icons
Thanks Andy.
The problem is the workbench.prefs file.
Now all works again.
