Re: How to manually start the startup-sequence?

If you want to skip the "Execute" part, try:

protect s:startup-sequence +s

That will mark it as a script.

Re: Date & Time will not stay

My Tabor had the same issue. The Tabor and X5000 have the same clock chip and driver. There is a bit in the clock chip that must be set to allow the chip to use the battery. Older battclock does not check or fix this bit. There is an update in the works, but I'm not sure when it may release. As a co...

Re: Audio Setup for noob

Will AmigaOS find the right driver for the card? I can't find a way to choose the driver manually.. So i'm guessing it finds the right one? The usual startup includes AHI running every driver it has. Each driver should try to locate it's "target", and return as failed if not found. Not th...

Re: WIKI errors for sift.c example in IFFParse Library docs

I thought religious discussions were off-limits. I agree well with most of what has been said. I also confess that I am guilty of having no specific format for variable and function names. It's bad enough that I have asked for a "guide sheet" and I keep it open when writing new code....

Re: X1000 CD Audio

I should apologize for being an asshole. Some days I really should not even turn on the computer. So let me start with the necessary stuff: I was rude, I overreacted, and I sincerely apologize if I offended you Amigaboy. I'll try to avoid doing that again. Onward, perhaps with some better news. Amon...

Re: Joystick and MIDI handler

camd is a library, which is a bit more "program" oriented than a handler, but there are command line tools for basic stuff, and enough example code to show how easily it can be used. os4depot/camdtools/showclusters will show a list of currently available MIDI clusters. It may also be used ...

Re: X1000 CD Audio

@xenic If he wants to complain that AHI does not fulfill all his desires. I'm fine with that, If he wants to know how it works, I'm ok with that too. As soon as he said "there`s an CD AUDIO-IN port on the mainboard and i have to pay to make it work." he crossed a line. Then it's not about ...

Re: X1000 CD Audio

I believe there is a bit of a misunderstanding here. The AHI driver is.. wait for it.. a driver to connect sound to and from AHI. If you select the CD as input on the AHI driver, then any attempt by AHI to Input sound will come from the CD header. It works, I have tried it. Consider this: AHI driver...

Re: Using FE kernel on FEup1 system.

I need to look into that. I also need to look into the XTAG interface on the X5000. It goes without saying that I have a lot of stuff that needs to get done. I'm not hogging the fun stuff. I'll gladly share with anyone who wants to volunteer. :) The XTAG on each machine simply "bit bangs" ...
