RAWBInfo extras

Right click on an tool/project icon and open Information, switch to Icon tab. Where are: Priority, Open from, Prompt for input items saved in the icon? I don't see them in struct DiskObject. What does "Prompt for input" do? Open a small window for command line args when "Start from&qu...

Re: Spawn new copy of program

@colinw That is what I have been doing, using SystemTags() to launch a new copy, with optional command line args. I was just curious if there was an "internal" way to do it. It is for Workbench Explorer, to open more windows for people who want multiple listers. I was thinking maybe you ca...

Spawn new copy of program

Is it possible to spawn a totally new copy of a program from itself? Totally independent of the first copy.

IDOS->CreateNewProcTags(
NP_Entry, main,
TAG_END);

And can you pass command line args to the new copy?

Re: Set protection bits

I disabled setting the icon's bit. That's what I was seeing Workbench do.....second opinions always help.

Set protection bits

I was doing some testing of setting a file's protection bits. Workbench does not set the bits for the .info file when it does for the file. As an example, if you were backing up a drawer and setting the Archive bit to show the file was backed up, wouldn't you also do the .info file (so don't lose an...

Save BitMap

I am trying to save a BitMapClass BitMap, but am not having much luck. I am using DataTypes to load and scale the image and end up with this, which displays correctly: if (!(Img=IIntuition->NewObject(BitMapClass,NULL, BITMAP_BitMap, ScaleBM, BITMAP_Width, ScaleWidth, BITMAP_Height, ScaleHeight, BITM...

Will not soft reboot

I shipped my X5000 via FedEx to California for AmiWest 2017. It arrived in good condition....so I thought. I didn't think about it until after I shipped it: I bought the LARGE Sapphire Toxic graphics card AOTL was selling. I didn't support it in the case, even though was laying flat on it's side, ca...

Re: Screen notify: how to hook?

Here is what I use: struct MsgPort *ScrNotPort; APTR ScrNot; struct ScreenNotifyMessage *ScrNotMsg; /* Set up Screen Notify system */ if (!(ScrNotPort=(struct MsgPort *)IExec->AllocSysObject(ASOT_PORT,NULL))) { SAK_EasyRequest(Objects[OID_WINDOW],MainWindow,RequesterTitle,REQIMAGE_ERROR,0,SAK_Locale...
