IDOS->Printf output not the same as printf
This is likely a very basic question --- but I'm not getting the same output when I use the IDOS->Printf versus printf. See below. It looks like the pointers are not getting assigned correctly with the DOS function. Is this due to the 64-bit alignment issue? ---------------------------- CONST_STRPTR...

Re: SYS:System/Help program Issue
I started my amiga with the classic 3.5" boot floppy disk and booted from the CDROM with 4.1 Update 2. System/Help still crashes even then--so I'm pretty sure now this is not an software installation problem.

Re: Amiupdate and reboot
I tried the "reboot" command from the shell and looks like to me my Amiga A4000T is not going through a hard reboot. With "reboot", I don't get back to the 3.x early startup menu as I can with the ctrl-alt-alt. The only time I can hard reboot is with ctrl-alt-alt (or of course tu...

Re: Amiupdate and reboot
I think it was the recent rtg.library update that was not doing a hard reboot ... and was seeing this on the classic.

Amiupdate and reboot
Amiupdate is not doing a hard reboot when #?.kmod or when resident libraries have been updated. Only a soft reboot is done and so libraries are not updated in ram--which means I need to reboot again as a hard reset.

Re: ncr_scsi.device.kmod
Thanks for the advice. I don't feel confient and don't think I have the right tool in cutting this -- will see at some point if I can find someone who can because that looks like a clean solution.

Re: ncr_scsi.device.kmod
Thanks for the info. I have a A4000T and so sounds like I would need to either use a bracket in an open zorro slot or make a hole in the case for the access to the external connector. Did you find a good solution as to not waste a zorro?

ncr_scsi.device.kmod
Is there any possiblity of releasing the "MODULE Kickstart/A4000T/ncr_scsi.device.kmod" to enable A4000T scsi -- I have many external scsi devices that would be nice to use with OS4.1 including some tape drives. The kicklayout has it commented out....

Re: BRU Issues in OS4.1
Was this BRU disbribation in OS4 just a mistake and wasn't suppose to be there? It was compiled for the PPC though and so seems like some work was done it....looks like though this is a low priority as not many have responded to the crash log.

Re: SYS:System/Help program Issue
Thanks ssolie. It looks like a different issue now after I did a kernal dump. A GrimReaper GUI doesn't come up but looks like a DSI crash. No new program will come up on WB but the shell will still work if the console window was already open. Is there any clues in the dump that could be causing this?
