Re: JXFS checksum error
[qutoe]Is there a way to fix the error other than copy everything an reformat the partition?[/quote] I think the short answer is: No. (Except the X1000 where this doesn't currently work) You can see if Partition Wizard allows you to do a Repair (or a Salvage), but I'm not familiar with JXFS so I cou...

Re: Strange commercial DVD behaviours for me on x1000
I can't read them on my X1000 under amigaOS4 but they are OK on my Pegasos2 (AmigaOS4, too) I use same DVPlayer, libdvdcss, avcodec to read them on both computer. You seem to be overlooking the different DVD drives on your X1000 & Pegasos. Specifically, I wonder whether your Peg's DVD drive has...

Re: [SOLVED]Upd6 doesn't boot anymore / Kicklayout related ?
@gerograph
The changes described used to work perfectly, but now on OS4 they *sometimes* cause OS4 to get stuck at the boot screen (requiring a hard reset). I have to live with this annoyance, or else buy another expensive KVM Switch (which may work better or worse than the current one).

Sounds like you are getting to know your way around AmigaOS quite well to be able to do that

Re: Network speed slow on SAM460...normal?
It may also be the case that the Amiga's network stack is getting a bit old, and is unable to perform network transfer using DMA. When Olaf has discussed this on AW.net/etc, I believe he has said it would require a major rewrite, and that one might as well just port a more modern network stack in th...

Re: How does dual monitor word on X1000
@amigasociety AmigaOS does not fully support multiple screens, at least not like how Windows/Mac/etc do. So although you can use multiple screens, switching the mouse pointer between multiple screens requires that you tell AmigaOS you want to change the active screen (either by clicking on the Scree...

Re: X1000 : graphical glitches with HD5450
HD6570 card. My problem is disappearing or partially drawn drop-shadows around windows. Sometime drop-shadows are drawn correctly, but sometimes they are only draw at the corners and sometimes they just disappear from a random window while doing something in another window. Never saw this with the ...

@AmigaDave
256MB should be *more* than enough for any 2D stuff you can think of. And if 256MB does somehow run out, them Picasso96 will gracefully handle that (storing currently unused bitmaps in non-video RAM).

Re: smbfs for large datas freezes my X1000 (works on Peg2)
If you have no success with SMBFS/Samba, then I can highly recommend FTPMount.
Alternatively, it might be simpler to just connect your Peg2's HD to your X1000. (But better check with AmigaKit if opening your X1000 will void your warrenty - I assume not, but that is just my assumption)

It would help to know which version of the Radeon driver you are using. Please type (or copy & paste) this is in the Shell, and tell us the result:
