@djrikki
USB sound might make sense once we have USB2 (and hence enough bandwidth for it to not noticably affect anything else), but I have a hard time imagining why anyone would choose USB sound, so I guess it would get a rather low priority.

Re: Suggestion: Click Cursor Position in CLI
Well, in the new console (which you guys will get a hold of as soon as you get the latest beta releases), you can click anywhere on the command line to move the cursor there. I am glad to hear this, because I've gotten so used to it in KingCON that I had forgotten it (apparently) isn't standard in ...

Re: AmiDock
1. ArexxXML (available on above link) to C:. 2. Expat.library, Uni.library to libs: 3. libexpat.so to sobjs: Rather than install them *just* for the installation to work, I'd be inclined to make temporary assignments for them. For example: Assign C: installerstuff/c ADD Assign Libs: installerstuff/...

Re: AmiDock
Has there been or will there be any further development of the Arexx calls that AmiDock supports to allow developers to check whether an object already exists anywhere in the AmiDock? This might be useful for me: RunInUAE's installer adds a RunInUAE icon to AmiDock, but this can cause duplicates, s...

Re: Suggestion: Click Cursor Position in CLI
@Thomas I guess (only guess!) that clicking on "w" would highlight the whole word, allowing you delete it & replace with "backup" or whatever? I'd suggest it would need to be a double-click though. I suppose it you could try to detect that it was a path (KingCON does somethin...

Re: Application Package Woes
@chris I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't use the Lisp-based installer because it's another (and quite strange!) language to learn, and I'd rather use that time for programming. I guess if I make enough things that need an installer, then I might be able to justify learning it... Installing ...

Re: Application Package Woes
@djrikki This is an interesting but complex topic, which I surely can't do justice to (so I won't try!), although the above replies probably cover the most important points. I don't think Amiga installers have really progressed since AmigaOS 2.0 days! As you say, there are no real guidelines, beyond...

Why on earth are you using USB? Why not just have both HDs connected to your OS4 machine at the same time?fitzsteve wrote:After the pain of transferring all my data yesterday from my 2.5in HDD to my new SSD via USB (3-4hours for just 5gb Data lol)

What utility are you using to display this on your Sam440?
