Are you talking about manners like making a new thread with a relevant topic header when your first thread drifts off to talk about something else - and you are even asked (by the sysadm) to stay on topic?
If so, I agree.
Best regards,
Niels

Re: vsata.device
It's just a part of the driver code which has been refactored out to a separate module. It contains code which is common to the X50x0 and the A1222.

Re: Maximum window sizes
In OS4, if you hold down Ctrl + LAmiga, you can drag a window by clicking anywhere in it (except active string gadgets etc).

Hi Peter
In your above post, you are missing the "[" before the closing "/code]" tag.
So the following text with your question is not seen unless you scroll down in the code box.

Re: Application notification server turned off with update2hotfix?
The Ringhio functionality has been taken over by A-Eon some years ago and is now (renamed to Notifications prefs and NotificationServer) part of the Enhancer Pack. It was a misunderstanding that led to the partial new notification functionality using application.library being released in the oriigin...

Re: How to set hostname on DHCP client?
Okay, seems like we found out what the situation is. It does work already, apparently. Several beta testers are using it (and they are not using a beta version to do it ;-)). For me, it didn't work in a short test, where I changed one machine to use DHCP with a host name (hitherto unknown). But that...

Re: How to set hostname on DHCP client?
Edit: The following may not be correct. I'm investigating ... Edit 2: It should work. See https://forum.hyperion-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?p=52309#p52309 below. v--- Incorrect information ---v I asked Olaf about it. Apparently, there is a way in the DHCP protocol to specify the hostname you wa...

Re: How to set hostname on DHCP client?
It's a bit of a drag to have to do this every time your lease changes its IP address though, isn't it? (Hint: the OP uses DHCP, not a static IP address.)
Maybe it can be set in the router?
Best regards,
Niels

Re: Mui x5000
Just to make sure it is clear: This will install the Enhancer Clock program back on top of the original Clock program of OS4. And when one day the OS version is again updated, it will again overwrite the third party Enhancer one. Etc., etc. Of course anyone is free to choose what suits them, but it ...

Re: Exchange window positioning
Even worse, it would require breaking a long-time Amiga standard of only snapshotting (or otherwise saving settings) on an explicit request of the user. Just because in one session you find it practical to move a window somewhere doesn't mean that you want it there every time you open it in the futu...
