There is a CPU temperature monitor for AmigaOne: http://os4depot.net/?function=showfile& ... putemp.lha
So there is! And it seems it should also work on a BlizzardPPC (and maybe a CSPPC, but that wasn't tested).

Interesting.

The Hyperion device driver correctly reads the MAC addresses from the board and uses them properly.
But was that one released to the public?

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro

AFAIR, "su" has been the way of most Linuxen always.

The invention of "sudo" (or at least the first I heard about it) came with Ubuntu and similar - maybe an attempt to avoid getting users' hands "root-dirty" longer than necessary at a time?

Re: eth3com.device crashes on X1000

Wasn't this driver made for the internal NIC of the original AmigaOnes (SE/XE etc.)? I wasn't even aware that there were PCI cards that were also supported (if they are).

Re: Pivot monitor support on driver level?

Well, of course the screen would have to be closed and re-opened with the new (swapped) dimensions. That was what I actually meant above when I wrote "switch its screenmode to the corresponding one". Sorry for not being more precise. I believe that is also what WB does when a new screenmode is selec...

Re: Restoring automatically ethernet MAC addresses

Most of what you need to know is described here: https://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/Advanced_Serial_Debugging_Guide It looks mainly at the situation where you want the debug log from the running (or booting) AmigaOS, not the UBoot output. But it is set up the same way, so just follow that toturial, and y...

Re: Test request to all X5000 owners!

On my X5040, the MAC addresses are shown fine in the SysInfo page, and have been all the time. I have never had to define them myself.

Strictly speaking, it's the ExecSG team, not A-Eon, right?

Go to the "Windows" menu, item "Cookies". Find the lines mentioning .hyperion-entertainment.com, www.hyperion-entertainment.com and www.hyperion-entertainment.biz and click Remove on each of them (do not open the line, just mark it and remove it). Then close Odyssey and start it again, and you shoul...

Re: HW-Sensors interface?

The thing is, at the moment you have one machine with an implemented docky (X1000) and two more with an expected (common) API - different from the first one. Nobody seems to have ever looked at implementing anything for the older machines (Sams, A1s, A4k/A1k2 with Phase5 PPCs), and my guess is it's ...
