My first reaction to your post is - don't do that! It has long been the rule that modern disks (i.e. those from this millennium or so :-)) should never be low-level formatted.l In the best case, they will just ignore the command, in the worst case, you will ruin the disk. @OldFart: Maybe you should try putting the driver back into your Kickstart/Kicklayout, now that there are drives on it. It might make it behave better? I have an SiI3112 in my X5000/40 with one HDD and load the driver as normal in the Kickstart without problems. BTW, I also have the SiI3114 driver l...
