HyperX fury 8gb ram 1866MHz

Anybody have any experience with DDR3 1866mhz RAM in a X5020? I have been offered a free pair of HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz(2x4GB 1866MHz (PC3-14900) DDR3 CL10), and was just wondering if it was worth putting it in. At the moment I have the standard 1333 Corsair modules. On the wiki it says 1600mhz RA...

Re: Install CD boots kickstart from CD then boots from HD ...

Decreasing the bootpriority to 4 did the trick. Now the install cd boots all the way :)

@Tony: I did set the os4_bootdevice to auto but on my system it did not do the trick on the CD. It works on the HD partitions but not the CD.

Install CD boots kickstart from CD then boots from HD ...

I am trying to make a fresh install of 4.1FE from the latest install CD on a fresh partition. I, however, have a rather strange problem. I have my CD drive connected to the first SATA port and the HD to the second, When I boot up, the install CD shows up in the amiga boot menu with my preset bootabl...

Re: Hardware sensors in Fienix

I had to go to SU and type the exact location of modprobe before I got a result. Here it is: fienix@Fienix:~$ su Password: root@Fienix:/home/fienix# /sbin/modprobe nfsd root@Fienix:/home/fienix# lsmod Module Size Used by nfsd 142878 1 uio_pdrv_genirq 7317 0 uio 18964 1 uio_pdrv_genirq root@Fienix:/h...

Re: Hardware sensors in Fienix

I got sensors-detect going with this. /usr/sbin/sensors-detect It gave this adition to /etc/modules Generated by sensors-detect on Sun May 17 16:11:14 2020 # Adapter drivers radeon # Chip drivers lm63 However I...

Hardware sensors in Fienix

I am trying to get lm-sensors to work in Fienix so that I can check the temperature on my graphics card (I exchanged the cooler) but I am having some problems getting it to start. I installed lm-sensors in synaptic but when I write sensors-detect it gives me a command not found. root@Fienix:/home/fi...

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro

Minor issue: The game Xracer does not start - at least on my system :) . I get this when I try to start from shell (no menu item): fienix@Fienix:~$ xracer xracer:main.c:528: error: open: No such file or directory xracer:video.c:72: error: open: video/intro.mpeg: No such file or directory xracer:joys...

Re: Uboot manual

Ciao, I have two questions: - my version of Uboot doesn't have the menu for MorphOS, so does anyone know how to write a menu for Uboot? - it is possible to have a detailed manual of Uboot for X5000 in order to better manage the computer. Finally a small complaint because I am disappointed by the su...
