Re: 4g+ file on exfat drive

The option I use for testing is to dump displayables into a text file (c:list >t:listing) and then open the text file made in TimberWolf, if you have a full Unicode Arial / Meiryo Ui / MS Mincho or other font available and set in Timberwolf, *all* of the font provided Unicode characters become viewa...

Re: Does Sirion USB stack support ethernet adapters?

I don't have any awareness of any USB Ethernet adapter drivers of any kind using either PoseridonUSB or SirionUSB stacks... I've also recently started looking into various device drivers for a few things myself. so we are needing to use built-in or Zorro/PCI expansions with Ethernet functions. Howev...

Re: Can't boot into OS4

I booted from mass storage. I copied 4.1 from my sam to a new hd. And copied over the x5k files to the new hd. I now get the same when booting from the hd. The screen never goes black. :( Also, many times the monitor won't show me a picture when starting/resetting the x5k. It just states no signal....

Re: Joystick and MIDI handler

camd is a library, which is a bit more "program" oriented than a handler, but there are command line tools for basic stuff, and enough example code to show how easily it can be used. os4depot/camdtools/showclusters will show a list of currently available MIDI clusters. It may also be used...

Re: Joystick and MIDI handler

so basically, JOY: would show a device listing as it's directory entries... and opening the device-file for a given joystick would read that joystick... MIDI: doing something similar for midi devices attached and valid for camd.library? I honestly don't know if keywords beyond a basic file open woul...

Re: Joystick and MIDI handler

Hello, I'm suggesting two new DOS handlers: an USB joystick handler and a MIDI handler. They would provide easy access to joysticks and MIDI devices from any programming language. My only questions with these would be... In what order are devices listed? Are there any special keywords like the CON:...

Re: ExtMemObjects...Window vs Actual...

You can map parts of extended memory objects. See the documentation for Map() - http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3153#p35042 Well THAT solves my memory virtualization issue with size and location, I'll just need to deal with resource tracking so many ExtMemObj's (one...

ExtMemObjects...Window vs Actual...

I'm trying to deal with ExtMemObj's that are outside the normal 2GB addressable memory limit while using a limited size window for what is mapped. If I allocate 64MB or 128MB and decide to use it as a remap window for a beyond 2GB addressable area that is a multiple of the window size (128MB access ...

Re: Where do I find Documentation/kernel/bootloader.txt?

What is the latest for getting a dual-boot sam440 happening? The 440, which is UBoot based, uses either SLB as standard, or Parthenope (ub2lb) as bootloader. SLB locates and creates a boot menu from one Kicklayout and supports Linux with an A1 config file stored on an Ext2/3 volume that also holds ...

Re: Where do I find Documentation/kernel/bootloader.txt?

What is the latest for getting a dual-boot sam440 happening? I'm personally looking at building a second AmigaOS4 capable machine to boot from microSD/SD card and migrating the sam440 over to being a massive disk storage machine (hell I have 3TB in it already, and 2 extra disks I am using for filesy...
