Re: Mixer.docky BETA supporting hdaudio V6.22

Javier, This is Beta. Any idea when it will become a shiny, new, official Mixer replacement? AND in anticipation of the above could you tell me rather explicitly how to get hdaudio v6.22? [Since the string v6.22 officially fails the minimum requirements for "search" and a search would prob...

Re: sGrab specifying the output file spec

@tonyw It's not rocket surgery, but some programmers are lazy. If the desired behaviour indeed is that after being abandoned, the string gadget restores its contents to whatever there was before the unconfirmed edit, then the restoring should IMHO be performed by the gadget and not by the programme...

Re: sGrab specifying the output file spec

... I'm using Store-path:{TITLE}_{NUMBER}.{TYPE} in SGrabs main window under "File" and have never ever overwritten anything by accident, because SGrab is smart enough to check if there's a file with the same name and simply progress to the next number i also use this. and if i need the f...

Anything we can do to help restore you to a functioning system? $ maybe? Spare parts, maybe?

Re: sGrab specifying the output file spec

I was just mad. I spent an hour looking for an alternative. I found nothing viable. That means sGrab satisfies nearly everyone. I am a "nearly everyone" so it must be me, not the program. I spent an hour looking to control it with AREXX. Its been some 8 years since I wrote an AREXX script,...

sGrab specifying the output file spec

I am abandoning sgrab OS4.1u6 (and all earlier versions) because I just lost a grab of a medical payment due to my failure to press the Enter key. Previously, I had gw:missives/20140507cpllabs which worked, writing that name + .png. Being (insufficiently) wary of sGrab I erased the name back to gw:m...

Re: Just how specific are these many initrd.gz?

If its any consolation, the iBook is just a painful as the X1000 has been. The iBook (suggested install) has NO problems with having only 768 Megabytes of memory. That being so, how come it was recommended here to get 4 Gigabyes of memory for Linux on the X1000.... which I did? Hi, It is always good...

Does anyone know why MUI component updates aren't part of AmiUpdate?

Are there any plans to include them?
This is why AmiUpdate is only part of the scheme I need to know if how old is my "latest" version of software pieces.

Re: Do I have the latest "<whatever>"?

Hijacked!
Think that's what happened?
I have a webcheck program to protect against that sort of thing..... but.... my stuff draws no interest from "the bad guys".

Re: Just how specific are these many initrd.gz?

Hi, It is always good to go over again how to do those things. It doesn't answer my questions, though. I am quite happy to take an http: reference to go seek answers. At worst case we end-run (American foot ball term) my question by doing as you have pointed out. I did start on that route, before I ...
