Re: An input.device freeze I once caught.

ButtonAnimTask belongs to AmiUpdate. Well that's at least something. I did suspect as much. Now why hasn't it found that new version? ;-) BTW I have found it can delay looking for a new version. At first it happened when the network was busy, which Roadshow tends to get all internet using tasks stu...

Re: An input.device freeze I once caught.

I find this hidden feature useful. :-) That said I have another log. I had AmiUpdate scanning in the background while I using OWB to put up an ad. My system froze. I have a USB mouse with a PS/2 converter that can help as it can be pulled out and put back in. Sometimes that works. The only way to re...

Re: ppp-ethernet.device issue

@kas1e I see your point. I missed making a point that in both a valid and invalid setup it shouldn't crash. But I haven't used PPPoE myself so can see now why the Dialer is needed, The a1serial.device is also suspect as this can drop out after a few minutes. I wonder if this is all related to Roadho...

Re: ppp-ethernet.device issue

As it already works with this device This looks like a standard one port ADSL modem router connected by Ethernet? If that is the case the Dialer certainly should not be used! Unless you speciifcally need to dial in to it. But the modem should contain your user/pass needed for ADSL connection and co...

An input.device freeze I once caught.

Hello. A couple of years back I collected a few crash logs where the input.device froze the system. I don't know if the problem was resolved but I still see input freezes in the system so thought I would post some logs and in case it would help resolve a possibly serious issue. At this point it woul...

Re: UBoot update for AmigaOne

Just because it was deployed as a beta version doesn't mean it actually worked on all accounts. Is that the one where it has a timing bug? You tell UBoot how may seconds to count down and a bug in the source inserts an extra "0" ? Sometihng like that. A member at our user group has an A1S...

XAD freezes system when reading CPIO archives

Hello. This will be one bug report of many I am sure. I have collected a few in the past. Some aren't as detailed due to randomness but this will be. Okay. Whenever I access a CPIO archive from a client such as UnArc or DirOpus my system is frozen. I can recover from soft boot. A CPIO archive is for...
