Do you have more than 1 GFX card installed?
That might currently be the root of your problems.
I suggest for testing to temporarily remove your second GFX card and report back here.
Thanks,
nexus

Re: Problem installing Lubuntu 14.10
For reading Temp on X1000 You could install this -> sudo apt-get install lm-sensors sensors-applet And Add the sensors-applet to the Taskbar. Thanks! However, it only can read the temperature of the harddisks and one of my Radeon cards (reproted as: radeon-100 PCI adapter -- so, I guess it is the t...

Re: Problem installing Lubuntu 14.10
Does that mean u were able to install 14.10 with that modified initrd.gz?
By the way, is there some tool on linux that can read out the temperature of the X1000 cpu like x1ktemp.docky for AOs4? Would be nice to see how the CPU operates with 2 cores busy
cheers,
nexus

Can someone confirm that the image at amigalinux.org works now?
Otherwise, I have to upload the ramdisk image again

Re: (X)(L)ubuntu (MATE) 15.04
"systemd-logind[7220]: Failed to apply ACLs: Operation not supported" That's exactly what I got when I tried to upgrade to the latest Mesa! And I thought what did I do wrong! (on 14.10) I think, I've seen the same error messages in my syslog file. Maybe it is specific to the 14.10 install...

Re: Problem installing Lubuntu 14.10
Weird, nexus's ram image gives a size signature different than it actually is. When you try to download it says one size and then downloads to another size on the hd. That's crazy. If I download it from Nexus' dropbox then Iceweasel told me a size of 17.4MB. But on my Debian it has 18.2MB. I have i...

Re: Problem installing Lubuntu 14.10
I will check that when I am at home. You could try to uncompress the file with "gzip -d initrd.gz". If that works without an error, then the file should be fine :) Maybe, the file was not correctly uploaded to my dropbox account ( which I rarely us). As I said, I will check that and respon...

Re: A small update
That's nice, xeno74! are there somewhere any information about which modules are *indispensable* for operating the X1000? So I'd be interested in those modules that are needed to keep all on-board devices (--especially sound) + radeon gfx cards functional. I have not yet looked into the kernel confi...

Re: Why & Should CPU Core 2 be higher temp than Core 1 ?
Guys, I do know all this as I am in contact with the manufacturer about this: >"The heatsink is custom – we designed it and we get it made. On that >basis there’s nothing off-the-shelf you could replace it with – the >fixings are specific to the (Nemo) board layout. The PA Semi CPU on >Nemo wi...

@xeno74
I have sent you a PM with a link to the modified initrd.gz file.
Feel free to download it and host it on the X1000 linux site
I hope it works -- no warranties, but it worked for me and my X1000
cheers,
nexus
