Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
Can you connect to it with SSH as root? https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/ssh-tutorial-how-does-ssh-work says I can. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I just have to find the IP address for {host}. Presumably "root" will work for {user}. I presume at worst I'll only have to hook the monito...

Re: Fienix - New PowerPC Distro
In Ubuntu I use Remote Desktop Viewer to properly shut down my Raspberry Pi. I wonder if there is anything similar for Fienix? The only thing I use Raspberry Pi for nowadays is to print files from the X5000 on my HP OfficeJet Pro. For some reason I cannot get a decent print from the X5000--there are...

Re: Kernel 5.10
This time I tested as soon as I saw it available and once again it seems to work just fine!
Wow, Skateman. You're the only one I'm in the least acquainted with to have dealt with that so far. Completely over it, I hope.

USB attachment failed
In OS4, when I plug a USB memory device in, I get a little window named "USB Attachment" with a message at the bottom: "Attachment failed." I have no idea how to figure out what the problem is. Can anyone give me a hint?
These devices work just fine when I'm in Ubuntu or Fienix.

Re: Kernel 5.10
My guess is that you are using an older version of U-boot that cant read the MAC addressess of your onboard ethernet adapter. ... You can check you systeminfo in U-boot and see if there are Mac addresses shown. Hadn't looked at that for a long time. Too much "info" that I can no longer un...

Re: Kernel 5.10
RC3 working here, too. rc3.png As for DPAA, it works fine as far as I can tell. Dmesg greps mine a bit different to Skateman's. fienix@Fienix:~$ dmesg | grep dpaa [ 4.701436] fsl_dpaa_mac ffe4e6000.ethernet: of_get_mac_address(/soc@ffe000000/fman@400000/ethernet@e6000) failed [ 4.701743] fsl_dpaa_ma...

Re: Kernel 5.10
I can report that RC2 not only works in SUSE on some kind of AmigaOne, Ubuntu on an AmigaOneX5000, but also in Fienix on an AmigaOneX5000, supporting at least two important applications.
